Caroline Wilson

 

Caroline has over 7 years in the functional medicine space and is a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach. She is the co-founder of Tar Heal Wellness Coaches, supporting individuals with a tailored experience striving for sustainable health and well-being. 

She is also a Certified Functional & Therapeutic Breathwork Coach. She has a personal journey of overcoming chronic health issues through nutrition and lifestyle changes, guided by a Functional Medicine MD friend. Additionally, she was inspired by another friend who helped her daughter with multiple brain disorders overcome many challenges by removing toxic exposures from her food and environment.

Caroline has helped numerous individuals manage and overcome various chronic illnesses through the integration of nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, and mind-body medicine.

Kristine Boeke

Kristine has been a registered nurse for 38 years, and has worked as a bedside nurse, home health nurse and now a triage nurse for Duke Cancer Center. She has sat on the board addressing breast health and cancer prevention while at Cigna. Helped draft with the Cigna legal team the brochures on breast prevention, early detection and self-breast exams. Was instrumental in beginning a diabetic program for prediabetic and newly diagnosed diabetic patients with a concentration in supporting patients with nutritional and lifestyle modifications.

In her capacity as a nurse and as a patient, she has experienced the struggles of pre and post-menopausal women and navigating the medical system who is not always sensitive or attentive to the needs of women.

While the medical field is quick to prescribe powerful medications to women who are going through pre and post-menopausal symptoms. Holistic approaches and modifications of lifestyle are rarely mentioned or discussed as an option to those experiencing those lovely symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, weight changes or mood changes.
